The role of Bar Back at Topgolf is an exciting and vital position within this high-energy sports entertainment venue. This part-time role, with an hourly rate of $21.57 plus tips, places the Bar Back at the heart of the bar operations, ensuring that the bar is stocked, clean, and ready to support bartenders during busy shifts. Bar Backs serve as the engine that keeps the bartending team running smoothly by actively maintaining inventory levels and cleanliness standards, thereby enhancing the overall guest experience. With a flexible schedule that requires availability during evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak times including special events, the Bar Back position offers a dynamic work environment full of energy and teamwork.

As a Bar Back at Topgolf, you will be instrumental in creating a seamless and enjoyable environment for guests by proactively managing bar supplies, monitoring inventory, and collaborating closely with bartenders and management. The position demands physical stamina and agility, as you will be moving quickly across the bar and storage areas, lifting and carrying supplies, and maintaining cleanliness throughout your shift. Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
must be 18 years of age or older as required by state or local law
experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment preferred
ability to obtain required alcohol service licenses and certifications for your location
ability to remain on your feet and in motion for extended periods throughout the shift, including standing, walking, and moving quickly between stations
ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 pounds independently and up to 75 pounds with assistance
ability to navigate stairs, ramps, and multi-level storage and service areas when transporting supplies
ability to work in varying temperature environments frequently
ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions throughout the shift
ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a high-energy bar environment
ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume bar environment while maintaining focus, organization, and stock levels under pressure

Job Qualifications

experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment preferred

Job Duties

stock and maintain the bar
keep all bar stations, refrigerators, cupboards, and storage areas stocked with glassware, utensils, garnishes, and supplies to designated par levels
monitor bar inventory throughout the shift and restock proactively before levels get low
move bar supplies from storage to the work area efficiently and safely by hand or using hand trucks
maintain cleanliness and organization across all bar areas and common spaces throughout the shift
assist bartenders in caring for guests as needed
observe all responsible alcohol service guidelines to protect guests and the community
greet guests in a friendly and approachable way
communicate clearly with bartenders and management about supply shortages, cleanliness issues, or anything that could slow the bar down
clean and sanitize bar surfaces, tools, glassware, and equipment consistently throughout the shift
ensure the bar area meets Topgolf's standards for cleanliness, safety, and presentation
report any equipment issues or safety concerns to management promptly
demonstrate Topgolf's core values of fun, one team, excellence, courage, and caring in every interaction
