Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • two to four years of cooking experience in fast-paced food service
  • degree or certificate in culinary arts preferred
  • ability to read and understand recipes, prep lists, and menus
  • physical ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy items up to 75 pounds
  • must be punctual and dependable
  • ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • strong sanitation awareness and personal hygiene
  • capability to work efficiently under pressure
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to perform basic math calculations
  • able to move quickly and prioritize tasks
  • well-groomed appearance
  • willingness to adapt to reassignment within the venue

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • degree or certificate in culinary arts preferred
  • two to four years’ experience in fast-paced restaurant, catering, or relevant food service
  • proactive and self-motivated with strong organizational skills
  • clean and conscientious regarding sanitation
  • ability to perform well under pressure and adapt quickly
  • punctual and dependable
  • ability to read and retain information including recipes and menus
  • capable of performing basic mathematical calculations
  • strong teamwork skills in stressful environments
  • quick and efficient execution of assigned duties
  • maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance
  • physical stamina to walk long distances and stand for extended periods
  • ability to stand, kneel, lift at least 30 pounds, carry items, push carts, and bend in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times
  • report for scheduled events on time and to assigned areas promptly
  • fulfill assigned opening and closing duties
  • follow prep lists and daily task timelines given by supervisor
  • prepare food using correct recipes in a timely and safe manner
  • maintain cleanliness and order in walk-in coolers, reach-ins, dry storage, and all work areas
  • possess extensive knowledge of all menus including specials
  • communicate effectively with supervisors, attendants, runners, chefs, and management
  • work collaboratively with fellow associates and other service departments
  • pay close attention to detail to exceed expectations
  • maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly kitchen setting
  • complete closing duties and checkout with manager or supervisor
  • know the kitchen and back-of-house layout including first aid, bathroom, and staircase locations
  • be aware of other food and beverage outlets within the venue
  • adapt to reassignment within the venue as needed
  • work flexible schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
