The role in focus is situated at the Toledo Complex in Ohio, which comprises the Huntington Center and the Glass City Center. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support concessions operations across both locations, functioning under the leadership direction of the Director of Food and Beverage. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of concession services, including not only the daily operational management but also staff supervision, ensuring high standards of service execution, maintaining inventory control, and managing financial elements such as forecasting and production needs. This role is essential in delivering a seamless food and beverage experience to guests, emphasizing efficient and profitable service operations while upholding compliance with all corporate, health, and regulatory guidelines. The position requires managing a team of concessions employees, delivering training, and fostering a positive customer-focused atmosphere. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training
  • Previous management experience in a similar venue
  • ServSafe Manager Certification
  • ServSafe Alcohol Certification
  • ServSafe Allergen Certification
  • Ability to pass a background/credit check
  • Ability to train and supervise concessions staff
  • Ability to manage inventory and financial reporting
  • Ability to work extended and irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, desired
  • 1 to 2 years’ related experience and/or training
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous management experience in a similar venue
  • ServSafe Manager Certification
  • ServSafe Alcohol Certification
  • ServSafe Allergen Certification
  • Demonstrated ability to control costs, generate increased revenue and manage accounts payable/receivable and financial reporting
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to navigate constant change
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to train workers in preparation and cooking food to ensure high quality, efficient and profitable food service
  • Ability to manage several direct reports
  • Must be able to pass a background/credit check
  • Experience working with Excel, Word, and Outlook Microsoft 365, preferred
  • Experience with POS software used in F&B

Job Duties

  • Supervise concessions employees in the preparation and service of food and refreshments as well as clean-up
  • Assist in the training of concessions employees engaged in preparing and cooking food to ensure high quality, efficient and profitable food service
  • Create a positive customer experience and maintain a pleasant attitude when working with staff and customers
  • Work with Warehouse Supervisor and purchase concessions products according to anticipated demand and familiarity with public taste in food and beverages
  • Work with Director to determine the menu and price
  • Direct food storage, preparation, and serving of retail products by workers at concession stands
  • Tabulate receipts and balance accounts and generate reports for Finance as needed
