The role available is for a Server, specifically a To-Go Cashier position reporting directly to the General Manager. This is a non-exempt role within the company, meaning the position is hourly and eligible for overtime pay according to labor law standards. The core responsibility centers around the sales and service of food and beverages to guests, including presenting bills, handling guest payments, and managing server banking efficiently. Serving guests with a smile and positive attitude is fundamental to this role.
The Server will be responsible for knowing the menu inside and out, greeting guests promptly with a warm personality, and taking detailed drink and food orders. There is an emphasis on suggestive selling, such as promoting daily specials and desserts, to enhance guest satisfaction and contribute to the establishment's sales goals. Additionally, servers must maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining and lounge areas, comply with all safety and service standards, and handle sensitive beverages such as alcoholic drinks responsibly by checking IDs for age compliance.
This role demands excellent interpersonal communication skills, the ability to multitask under pressure, and a consistent commitment to guest satisfaction through follow-up service and attentiveness. Physical demands of the job include standing for the majority of shifts, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, and work in environments ranging from humid areas to locations where noise levels may be elevated. Candidates must be flexible to work various shifts including opening, mid-day, and closing hours.
To succeed as a server in this role, candidates should possess a food handler's card and any necessary local certifications for food safety and alcohol service if applicable. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in food and beverage service is beneficial
- Must hold a valid food handler's card
- Must have local government food safety certification if applicable
- Must have local government alcohol service certification if applicable
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexible availability to work open, mid, and close shifts
- Ability to work under fast-paced, noisy conditions

Job Duties
- Be knowledgeable about the menu items
- Immediately greet the guest
- Display your personality and be personable
- Take drink orders first
- Remind guests of daily specials and featured menu items
- Answer guest questions
- Deliver drinks
- Take and send food orders to kitchen
- Verify accuracy of orders when delivered and announce items
- Ask if guests need additional items like extra pitas or condiments
- Consistently follow up to verify guest satisfaction and refill drinks
- Pre-bus tables and provide left over containers if necessary
- Suggest dessert items and serve dessert orders
- Provide the guest the check in a check presenter
- Thank guests and welcome them back
- Sell alcoholic drinks responsibly and check identification for age
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of restaurant and lounge area
- Complete all required side work
- Work with till and turn in balance if required
- Provide courteous and cordial service to all employees and guests
