Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in food and beverage service is beneficial
  • Must hold a valid food handler's card
  • Must have local government food safety certification if applicable
  • Must have local government alcohol service certification if applicable
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Flexible availability to work open, mid, and close shifts
  • Ability to work under fast-paced, noisy conditions
  • Good oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Commitment to safety procedures and guest satisfaction

Job Qualifications

  • Must be able to perform all essential-duty satisfactorily
  • Food handler's card
  • Local government food safety certification where applicable
  • Local government alcohol service certification where applicable
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to provide friendly and hospitable guest service
  • Able to follow instructions and management direction
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Compliance with safety and security procedures

Job Duties

  • Be knowledgeable about the menu items
  • Immediately greet the guest
  • Display your personality and be personable
  • Take drink orders first
  • Remind guests of daily specials and featured menu items
  • Answer guest questions
  • Deliver drinks
  • Take and send food orders to kitchen
  • Verify accuracy of orders when delivered and announce items
  • Ask if guests need additional items like extra pitas or condiments
  • Consistently follow up to verify guest satisfaction and refill drinks
  • Pre-bus tables and provide left over containers if necessary
  • Suggest dessert items and serve dessert orders
  • Provide the guest the check in a check presenter
  • Thank guests and welcome them back
  • Sell alcoholic drinks responsibly and check identification for age
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of restaurant and lounge area
  • Complete all required side work
  • Work with till and turn in balance if required
  • Provide courteous and cordial service to all employees and guests
