Job Description
Texas Roadhouse is a renowned American casual dining restaurant chain specializing in steaks and promotes a people-first culture that prioritizes both its employees and customers. Established with a commitment to Legendary Food and Legendary Service, the company has built its reputation on delivering high-quality cuisine alongside exceptional customer dining experiences. Texas Roadhouse is more than just a steakhouse; it is a community-driven company where team members, affectionately called Roadies, are valued as the heart and soul of the restaurant's success. The company prides itself on its friendly, fun, and supportive work environment, which includes flexible hours, opportunities for career advancement, engaging competitions, and a culture that celebrates every team member's contributions. This is reflected in their formal training programs and continuous recognition efforts that aim to prepare employees not just for their current roles but for future growth within the organization.
The role being offered is a part-time position for a To-Go Roadie at Texas Roadhouse, paying $17.13 per hour. This position plays a critical role in supporting the carry-out operations by ensuring that guests who are not dining in still receive an exemplary level of service and food quality. As a To-Go Roadie, the successful candidate will be the front line of the guest experience for takeout customers, managing the ordering process and the timely and accurate preparation of carryout orders. Responsibilities will include warmly welcoming guests as they place or pick up orders, using proper phone etiquette to handle calls and orders, and maintaining detailed knowledge of the menu to ensure the accuracy of every order.
Further, the To-Go Roadie will partner closely with both the Back of House staff and Restaurant Managers to ensure orders are completed efficiently, quoted accurately regarding preparation times, and packaged with care. This role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate within a team-oriented environment. Familiarity with the restaurant’s online and mobile app ordering systems, as well as proficiency in POS technology, is essential to manage transactions including To-Go sales, gift card purchases, and payment processing. Safety and sanitation practices are also a crucial component of the job to maintain the high standards of Texas Roadhouse.
In addition to the supportive work culture and competitive hourly wage, Texas Roadhouse offers a comprehensive suite of benefits after one year of employment for eligible Roadies. These benefits include access to best-in-class medical plans, dental and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement programs up to $5,250 annually, paid vacation time, and various forms of insurance coverage such as short-term disability, life, accident, and critical illness insurance. Additional benefits like identity theft protection, employee assistance programs, business travel insurance, and yearly holiday bonuses further underline the company’s commitment to employee well-being and financial security.
Texas Roadhouse proudly embraces diversity and is an equal opportunity employer. The company is committed to providing equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, age, gender, pregnancy, gender identity, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, citizenship, national origin, or any other legally protected status. This inclusive approach ensures that all applicants feel welcome and valued when applying for roles within the company worldwide. If you are looking to be part of a legendary team that values both service excellence and personal growth, the To-Go Roadie position at Texas Roadhouse offers a rewarding career path within a respected American dining institution.
