The role of a To-Go Roadie at Texas Roadhouse is integral to maintaining the brand's reputation for excellence, particularly within the carry-out segment of operations. A To-Go Roadie is responsible for ensuring that guests who prefer takeout receive the same attention to detail and fantastic service as those dining in the restaurant. This position involves front-facing interaction with customers, accurate order taking, collaboration with kitchen staff, and efficient execution of online and in-person orders. The To-Go Roadie must demonstrate exceptional organization skills and knowledge of the menu to provide clear recommendations and fulfill orders swiftly and precisely.
In this role, you will act as the friendly face of Texas Roadhouse for carry-out customers, delivering a legendary welcome and farewell whether over the phone or at the restaurant counter. You will use proper phone etiquette to handle incoming calls, process orders through the point of sale (POS) system, and answer any questions guests may have about the menu or their orders. The ability to work cohesively with Back of House staff is crucial to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered on time.
The To-Go Roadie also partners with Restaurant Managers to provide accurate quotes on wait times during busy periods, helping manage customer expectations and ensuring smooth carry-out service flow. Understanding Texas Roadhouse’s online and mobile app ordering platforms is essential to help process orders seamlessly and maintain customer satisfaction.

Job Duties
- ensure each guest receives a legendary welcome and goodbye when placing and/or picking up their order
- use proper phone etiquette when answering calls and taking orders
- be knowledgeable of menu to accurately take and place orders
- demonstrate strong organization and accuracy when packaging orders
- work collaboratively with back of house staff to complete orders
- partner with restaurant managers on quote times and accurately provide quotes to guests on the length of time to complete their order
- understand online and mobile app ordering systems
- accurately use point of sale (POS) system to place orders, process To-Go sales, gift card sales, and cash/credit card transactions
- practice proper safety and sanitation procedures
- exhibit teamwork at all times
