Currently, Drake's is seeking talented and enthusiastic Sushi Chefs to join their culinary team. This role is perfect for individuals who have a passion for sushi preparation, a refined palate for Japanese cuisine, and a desire to contribute positively to a lively restaurant environment. As a Sushi Chef at Drake's, you will be responsible for creating a rich and varied sushi menu featuring an assortment of main ingredients and raw fish such as salmon and tuna. Your expertise in preparing various types of sushi, including maki, nigiri, and sashimi, will be essential in delivering high-quality dishes that exceed guest expectations. Beyond sushi preparation, you will coordinate closely with wait staff to ensure dishes meet special requests and accommodate food allergies, demonstrating attention to detail and guest care. The role also involves managing food preparation tasks like boiling rice, preparing Japanese-inspired appetizers, soups, and salads, and monitoring inventory to maintain sufficient food stock. Maintaining hygiene standards in all cooking areas and ensuring the workspace is clean at the end of each shift are critical components of your daily responsibilities. This position offers flexibility with full-time and part-time opportunities and requires availability during business hours, including weekends and evenings.
