Job Duties

  • Supervises all line setup, prep, and breakdown activities
  • Assists Executive Chef with kitchen record-keeping and food inventories
  • Organizes employee work schedules to ensure appropriate coverage
  • Measures, mixes, and cooks ingredients according to recipes
  • Maintains a clean kitchen environment
  • Provides ongoing assistance, training, and mentoring to kitchen staff
  • Ensures all food safety standards are followed
  • Communicates with supervisors, peers, and subordinates
  • Makes decisions and solves problems related to kitchen operations
  • Documents and records personnel discipline information
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Executive Chef
