The Suite Attendant position at the Iowa Cubs venue, Principal Park, offers a unique role within the dynamic hospitality environment of a major league baseball stadium. This part-time role is essential in creating a premium guest experience within the private suites during games and special events. The Suite Attendant is responsible for the full spectrum of suite service, from the initial setup and stocking to the execution and tear-down of food and beverage services. This includes serving meals, replenishing buffet items, and providing bartender services when required, ensuring guests have a memorable and seamless experience during their visit.

Working within the framework of the union agreement, this position offers an hourly wage of $14.00 plus tips, recognizing the important contribution of each attendant to the overall guest satisfaction. The role demands excellent customer service skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Suite Attendants work closely with the Premium Services Manager and other team members to uphold the highest standards of service quality, cleanliness, and safety.

This role requires availability to work various shifts aligned with the Iowa Cubs game schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Ideal candidates will be self-directed, organized, and possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and coworkers. The Suite Attendant also performs a critical function in maintaining compliance with state and federal alcohol regulations, ensuring beverages are served responsibly and guests are of legal drinking age.

Job Requirements

Must be age 18 or older
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
Must have one or more years experience in the food service industry
Ability to calculate basic math functions
Must maintain strict confidentiality regarding private company information
Must be able to communicate professionally with guests, coworkers, and managers
Must be detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task and prioritize
Must be self-directed and able to work in a team environment

Job Qualifications

Age 18 or older
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One or more years experience as a server or in the food service industry
Ability to calculate basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
Professional interpersonal communication skills with co-workers, guests, and managers
Strict confidentiality regarding private company information
Detail oriented, organized, and ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays based on the Iowa Cubs Baseball schedule

Job Duties

Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellent in the areas of guest service
Assist the Premium Services Manager as required in preparation for the event including stocking Suite and Bar products
Maintain current tickets for designated Suites as orders are placed and present accurate final checks to guests
Serve meals to guests or replenish food for buffet service while checking all food and beverage delivered for accuracy and quality
Read and comprehend Banquet Event Orders for proper event setup and service execution
Serve beverages including alcoholic drinks responsibly and ensure proper guest identification and age verification
Bartend as directed while de-escalating intoxicated guest situations and reporting concerns to management
Maintain cleanliness and organization of suite areas and equipment
Communicate effectively with guests and management and respond to customer requests and concerns
