Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, specializing in venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Established in 2015, OVG manages a prestigious portfolio that includes seven world-class venues as well as partnerships with iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. Known for their innovation and commitment to excellence, OVG consistently elevates the entertainment experience through superior venue operations and an unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction.

One of the crown jewels in OVG's portfolio is the Benchmark International Arena located in Tampa, Florida. Following more than $62 million in renovations between 2011 and 2013, Benchmark International Arena has solidified its reputation as Florida's premier entertainment venue, hosting renowned events and serving as home to the three-time Stanley Cup champion, the Tampa Bay Lightning. Unique amenities such as lightning-throwing Tesla coils, an expansive 11,000-square-foot Budweiser Biergarten with spectacular city views, and an impressive five-manual, 105-rank digital pipe organ make this arena stand out as a landmark that continually draws crowds and keeps its place among the top venues in the United States.

The Specialty Pizza Cook position at Benchmark International Arena is a critical role within the venue’s food and beverage team. This part-time opportunity offers an hourly wage between $24.50 and $25.00 and includes valuable benefits such as a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, designed to support employees' financial futures even in a part-time capacity. The role is ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts, particularly in crafting high-quality, handcrafted pizzas with consistency, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail.

As the Specialty Pizza Cook, you will work closely with the Chef or Sous Chef to prepare, assemble, and cook pizzas according to established standards and recipes. Your responsibilities will revolve primarily around pizza production—stretching dough, shaping pizzas, applying toppings accurately, and monitoring bake times and quality. You will be entrusted with maintaining the highest levels of presentation, food safety, and sanitation standards to ensure every pizza served not only tastes exceptional but also looks visually appealing. Given the arena’s high-volume environment, the ability to work efficiently and meet production priorities while maintaining precise quality control is essential.

This role demands strong knowledge of pizza dough handling, including hand-tossed and thin-crust techniques, as well as familiarity with various types of pizza ovens such as deck, conveyor, and wood-fired. Creativity in executing specialty and custom pizza orders is highly encouraged, promoting memorable guest experiences consistent with the arena’s community-centered and entertainment-focused values. Flexibility in scheduling is a must, as shifts may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays to correspond with event schedules.

Joining OVG at Benchmark International Arena means becoming part of a team committed to inclusivity, innovation, and excellence. The company fosters a diverse and supportive work environment that values each employee's unique perspective and contributions. This is not just a job; it is an opportunity to grow your culinary skills within an acclaimed entertainment venue recognized for its forward-thinking culture and dedication to its guests. If you have the drive to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen setting and the passion to craft exceptional pizzas, this part-time Specialty Pizza Cook role offers a rewarding path to do just that while being part of an unparalleled entertainment experience.
