The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $65.00 and provides access to valuable benefits such as a 401(k) savings plan and matching contributions, which is notable for a part-time role. Security personnel may encounter high-energy event days or be called upon for specialized assignments during non-event times. This variety requires adaptability and attentiveness to changing conditions and demands.

The security team at OVG operates with a high degree of autonomy, requiring members to work independently while exercising sound judgment in assessing and responding to various situations. Key responsibilities include patrolling assigned areas, investigating suspicious behavior, responding to emergencies and incidents, and protecting property from damage, theft, or vandalism. Additionally, maintaining accurate records, logs, and communications is essential for ensuring seamless coordination and effective security management. Because of the high-profile nature of events held at the Iowa Events Center and Wells Fargo Arena, security personnel must demonstrate excellent customer service skills, professionalism, and the ability to remain composed under pressure. The company also values candidates who can work in varying environmental conditions, both indoors and outdoors, and who are physically capable of handling the demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects and maintaining a strong level of situational awareness.
