Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services. With its foundation laid in 2015, OVG has grown to become an industry pioneer that spans venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. The company oversees a portfolio that includes seven world-class venues, serving iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. Their commitment to excellence and innovation in live entertainment positions them prominently in the global market.

One of Oak View Group’s esteemed locations is the Arvest Convention Center (ACC), situated in the vibrant Arena District of downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma. The ACC is a modern, award-winning convention and event venue that offers over 275,000 square feet of flexible event space. Owned by the City of Tulsa for more than 50 years, the ACC has a rich history of hosting a myriad of events ranging from corporate meetings and non-profit gatherings to social events and trade shows. Its central location and versatile facilities make it a preferred choice for organizers looking to deliver impactful and memorable experiences.

The Sales Manager role at the Arvest Convention Center is a full-time position that offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $55,000 to $65,000. This role is ideal for a proactive, self-motivated sales professional who thrives in both independent and collaborative working environments. The Sales Manager will be responsible for aggressively promoting the ACC to various market segments, including corporate clients, non-profit organizations, and social groups. This position demands a mix of sales expertise, customer service excellence, and strategic planning to meet and exceed sales goals.

As the Sales Manager, you will play a critical role in driving revenue by leveraging sales and marketing principles to generate bookings and build long-lasting client relationships. Core responsibilities include negotiating contracts, preparing formal license agreements, and managing pre-event correspondence until the client transitions to event coordination and catering teams. The Sales Manager will also engage in market outreach activities such as cold calling, attending tradeshows, traveling for client engagements, and participating in special events to expand the venue’s footprint.

Beyond sales duties, this position requires exceptional communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to handle multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Maintaining a cooperative and team-oriented attitude is essential, as collaboration with supervisors, employees, and other departments will be key to the success of each event and overall sales strategy.

The role promises a dynamic work environment within one of Tulsa’s most prestigious venues and offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. This includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and paid time off covering vacation days, sick leave, and 11 holidays annually. The Sales Manager position at the Arvest Convention Center is a compelling opportunity for sales professionals seeking to join a vibrant company with global reach and strong community ties.
