Job Description
Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, specializing in venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Since its founding in 2015, OVG has become a trusted partner in managing some of the world’s most iconic arenas, stadiums convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. With a solid reputation for excellence, Oak View Group offers a dynamic work environment that fosters innovation, inclusivity, and high standards of service.
Within this prestigious organization, the PPL Center in downtown Allentown, Pennsylvania, stands as a state-of-the-art multipurpose arena and one of the region’s premier entertainment destinations. It is home to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, a professional hockey team and affiliate of the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers. The arena accommodates over 10,000 guests for concerts and more than 8,500 attendees for hockey games, making it an epicenter of sports, live music, family shows, conventions, trade shows, and other community events throughout the year. Chickie’s & Pete’s, the full-service bar and restaurant located inside the PPL Center, offers patrons a quality dining experience with lunch service during the week and event-driven operations.
The Restaurant Supervisor position at Chickie’s & Pete’s is a regular part-time role that plays a pivotal part in maintaining high service standards and operational excellence within the restaurant. This role involves supervising the restaurant team and ensuring that all guests receive a memorable dining experience that meets or exceeds their expectations. The hourly pay ranges between $17.00 and $20.00, reflecting the importance and responsibility of this role.
As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily restaurant activities, ensuring operational protocols, service procedures, and company standards are consistently upheld. This includes supporting team members in developing thorough menu knowledge, maintaining a clean and presentable workspace, and compliant handling of liquor laws and food safety guidelines. Supervisory duties extend to mentoring and coaching staff alongside monitoring product quality and guest satisfaction. The role also requires you to perform Point of Sale (POS) duties such as processing voids, comps, splitting checks, and managing gratuities. Troubleshooting POS system issues and coordinating technical support when necessary is essential to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
Furthermore, the position demands excellent attendance and flexibility to work during events and a variety of schedules aligned with business needs. Effective communication, professionalism, and a team-oriented attitude are vital to fostering a positive working environment and delivering exceptional guest services.
Part-time benefits include access to a 401(k) Savings Plan with matching contributions, providing financial planning advantages even within part-time employment. The position remains open until September 4, 2026, offering ample opportunity to join and grow within this vibrant venue and company.
Oak View Group values diversity and inclusivity, striving to cultivate a workplace that reflects and celebrates the diverse communities it serves. The company is committed to equal employment opportunities, ensuring an equitable hiring process regardless of veteran status, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other legally protected class. Working as a Restaurant Supervisor at Chickie’s & Pete’s means being part of a forward-thinking team that supports innovation and excellence in the live entertainment and hospitality industries.
