The Restaurant Supervisor position at Chickie's & Pete's, located within the PPL Center in Allentown, PA, is a part-time role offering an hourly wage between $17.00 and $20.00. This role focuses on overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of service, cleanliness, and compliance are maintained. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for leading the team to exceed guest expectations by maintaining operational excellence and fostering a positive work environment. The role includes mentoring and supervising staff, managing inventory, ensuring compliance with liquor laws, and troubleshooting issues with the Point of Sale (POS) system.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Ability to acquire and maintain valid Health Food Handlers Card and Alcohol Awareness Certification within 60 days of hire
  • Ability to handle cash responsibly
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team and fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work events and flexible schedules

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Preferred 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume food court, casual, buffet, or nightclub supervisory role
  • Must acquire and maintain a valid Health Food Handlers Card and Alcohol Awareness Certification within 60 days of hire
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • Ability to perform basic math functions related to POS and inventory
  • Strong communication skills to foster a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven setting

Job Duties

  • Follow all Chickie's & Pete's service, operational, and company standards
  • Provide support to General Manager in daily operations of the restaurant
  • Ensure team members maintain knowledge of the menu and any specials being offered
  • Supervise the team in maintaining a clean and presentable work area and venue preparations
  • Comply with liquor laws regarding alcohol service where applicable
  • Comply with departmental food and franchise contractual agreements
  • Perform POS duties including voids, comps, splitting checks, gratuities
  • Coordinate troubleshooting of technical problems with POS, facilities, and equipment
  • Provide on-going supervision and mentoring to team members
  • Monitor product quality and ensure high level of guest service
  • Maintain excellent attendance and flexibility to work events and varied schedules
  • Communicate positively and respectfully with internal and external guests
