The Premium Services Manager role is a full-time position based at Blue Arena in Loveland, Colorado, offering an annual salary between $65,000 to $70,000. This position is critical to maintaining and elevating the standards of premium and catering services at Blue Arena and The Ranch Events Complex. The manager provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and comprehensive support to ensure the flawless execution of premium and catered events. Key responsibilities include managing catering operations, overseeing food and beverage aspects of premium services, and supervising a dynamic team including the Catering Manager and part-time staff. This leadership position demands an individual with exceptional interpersonal skills capable of thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment while consistently delivering high-end hospitality experiences.

The Premium Services Manager serves as a linchpin in event success, orchestrating everything from initial event planning to post-event debriefing. This involves coordinating all facets of event service, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards, managing budgets, forecasting financials, and optimizing labor and equipment resources to maximize profitability. In addition to operational duties, the role emphasizes strong client relations, conflict resolution, and staff mentorship, cultivating a professional and guest-focused atmosphere at every event. The manager is also responsible for technical troubleshooting related to Point-of-Sale systems and maintaining rigorous standards in alcohol service policy compliance. Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred
  • six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • three to five years of experience in concessions, catering, food service, hospitality, event operations, or food preparation preferred
  • previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • ability to work a flexible schedule based on events and business needs including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
  • ability to maintain professional demeanor when working with staff, clients, guests, and partners

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred

  • nationally recognized advanced food service sanitation training certification preferred
  • familiarity with inventory control, menu planning, and event operations
  • basic computer proficiency including email, Excel, Word, Outlook, scheduling systems, and event management software
  • working knowledge of Point-of-Sale and timekeeping systems
  • strong cash-handling abilities and basic math skills

Job Duties

  • Manage overall catering and premium food and beverage operations including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, ordering, inventory, labor costs, and equipment maintenance
  • oversee catering, restaurant, and suite operations
  • directly supervise the Catering Manager and all part-time staff
  • manage inventory
  • handle client relations and communications related to events
  • create banquet event orders, invoices, and perform administrative duties
  • ensure legal, efficient, and profitable operation of the venue
  • generate and review financial reports including budgets, forecasts, revenue analysis, and P&L statements
  • resolve conflicts and assist in labor negotiations when applicable
  • oversee food service operations
  • assist with event setup, service, breakdown, and post-event follow-up
  • provide direction, supervision, and mentoring to hourly event staff and volunteers
  • monitor product quality, presentation, service standards, and guest experience
  • ensure compliance with all alcohol service policies
  • monitor alcohol service for compliance and report issues immediately
  • troubleshoot Point-of-Sale system issues
  • generate event employee schedules and verify time
  • support employee training, development, and mentoring
  • complete documentation related to employee performance and attendance
  • communicate effectively with culinary staff, event staff, managers, clients, vendors, and guests
  • assist with inventory control, menu execution, and event preparation
  • maintain clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • ensure efficient and professional event execution aligned with OVG standards
  • ensure proper execution of Banquet Event Orders
  • manage event advancement and professional communication
  • complete and update event-related administrative paperwork
  • ensure tableware and linens are replaced as needed
  • identify ingredients and explain menu preparation
  • assist with banquet function setup
  • observe guests for additional requests and needs
  • maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards
  • ensure excellent attendance
  • ensure location equipment is operable and clean prior to events
  • manage guests visibly intoxicated by cutting off alcohol
  • lead premium/catering team projects including training and special events
  • enforce OVG policies and procedures
  • perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager
