The role of Premium Food Runner is a part-time position based at Polar Park, the home stadium of the Worcester Red Sox, a Minor League Baseball team affiliated with the Boston Red Sox. Polar Park, located in Worcester, Massachusetts, opened in 2021 and features a seating capacity of 9,508 spectators, providing an exciting and vibrant venue for sports and entertainment enthusiasts. The Premium Food Runner plays a vital role within the DCU Club at Polar Park, acting as an essential link between the kitchen staff and the serving team to ensure efficient and timely delivery of food orders. Job Duties

  • Transport dishes from the kitchen to the appropriate tables in a timely and organized manner, ensuring that orders are accurately delivered
  • Collaborate with kitchen and serving staff to maintain clear communication about order statuses, special requests, and any other relevant information
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure that all components of a meal are ready for delivery simultaneously, maintaining the overall flow of service
  • Inspect dishes for accuracy, presentation, and overall quality before delivering them to customers
  • Report any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Provide excellent customer service by being attentive to customers' needs, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a professional and friendly manner
  • Assist in clearing empty plates and utensils from tables, resetting them for new diners, and maintaining overall cleanliness in the dining area
  • Collaborate with servers, chefs, and other restaurant staff to create a positive and efficient work environment
  • Familiarize yourself with the menu to accurately describe dishes and assist customers with inquiries
