The Premium Food Runner role supports the DCU Club at Polar Park, home of the Worcester Red Sox, and is an essential part of the concessions and premium seating operations. As a Regular Part-Time position located at 100 Madison Street, Worcester, MA, this role is pivotal in facilitating seamless food service in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. The position pays $15.00 per hour and is tip eligible, offering part-time employees access to benefits such as a 401(k) savings plan and employer matching contributions. The Premium Food Runner acts as a vital communication bridge between kitchen personnel and serving staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders to customers, thereby playing a critical role in enhancing the overall dining experience for patrons. Responsibilities include transporting dishes promptly and in an organized fashion, collaborating closely with kitchen and serving teams to coordinate meal components, inspecting dishes for quality and accuracy, and providing attentive customer service. Additionally, the role involves clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and maintaining cleanliness. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Three or more months' experience in the food service industry preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Transport dishes from the kitchen to the appropriate tables in a timely and organized manner
- Collaborate with kitchen and serving staff to maintain clear communication about order statuses, special requests, and any other relevant information
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure that all components of a meal are ready for delivery simultaneously, maintaining the overall flow of service
- Inspect dishes for accuracy, presentation, and overall quality before delivering them to customers
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel
- Provide excellent customer service by being attentive to customers' needs, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a professional and friendly manner
- Assist in clearing empty plates and utensils from tables, resetting them for new diners, and maintaining overall cleanliness in the dining area
- Collaborate with servers, chefs, and other restaurant staff to create a positive and efficient work environment
- Familiarize yourself with the menu to accurately describe dishes and assist customers with inquiries
