The Pastry Cook position at Allegiant Stadium is a part-time role within OVG’s Food Services & Hospitality team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality, fresh pastry products for guests in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. The Pastry Cook is expected to utilize various cooking equipment and adhere strictly to food quality and safety standards to ensure guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include preparing both hot and cold foods according to company recipes and portion guidelines, maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards, and collaborating effectively with team members to deliver excellent service. The position demands attention to portion control, minimizing food waste, and maintaining kitchen equipment by reporting any necessary maintenance.
Candidates for this role should be prepared to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays in alignment with event schedules. The hourly pay range for this position is between $18.85 and $23.56, as per the union agreement, and the role is set to expire on September 4, 2026. Benefits are provided according to the union contract.

Job Requirements
- Valid Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler Safety Card or ability to obtain
- Experience operating kitchen equipment including deep fryer, convection oven, mixer, immersion blender, scale, and chef knife
- Ability to read and execute recipes accurately
- Capability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and move heavy items
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Attention to sanitation, safety, and food quality standards
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide high-quality, fresh pastry products in a timely manner
- Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements
- Participate as a team player with responsibilities related to preparation, service, and delivery of products
- Report maintenance needed for kitchen equipment
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
- Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking
- Portion, arrange, and garnish food plates for delivery to guests
- Maintain excellent attendance and be available for an event-driven schedule including nights and weekends
