The Pastry Cook position at Allegiant Stadium is a part-time, regular role that plays a crucial part in upholding the high food quality and service standards expected at this premium venue. The role carries an hourly wage of $18.85 to $23.56 as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), with benefits governed by union agreements. It is designed for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, event-driven environments and are passionate about delivering freshly prepared, high-quality pastry products to guests.

The Pastry Cook is responsible for preparing both hot and cold pastry items following established recipes and adhering to portion control and sanitation best practices. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure consistency in product quality and presentation. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of culinary professionals, contributing to a positive and efficient kitchen environment. They must also be vigilant about minimizing food waste and maintaining kitchen equipment, ensuring a safe and hygienic work area at all times.

Given the dynamic schedule of Allegiant Stadium, the position demands flexibility, including availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules. Attendance and reliability are critical components of this role, ensuring smooth kitchen operations during peak times. The position is scheduled to expire on September 4, 2026, aligning with the contract timelines.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in pastry cooking or similar culinary role preferred
  • valid Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler Safety Card or ability to obtain
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • commitment to food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • able to operate standard kitchen equipment including deep fryer convection oven mixer immersion blender scale and chef knife
  • ability to read follow and execute recipes and convert recipes to proper amounts needed
  • ability to communicate clearly respectfully and professionally with employees co-workers management staff and guests
  • ability to work well in a team-oriented fast-paced event-driven environment
  • able to lift and move heavy objects
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays
  • required to possess or obtain a valid Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler Safety Card
  • working knowledge of sanitation food preparation alcohol service and safety standards
  • ability to adhere to high standards of integrity professionalism ethics and confidentiality

Job Duties
