Oak View Group (OVG) is recognized globally as a leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and service solutions. Since its inception in 2015, this innovative company has been at the forefront of venue development and management, offering end-to-end capabilities across a broad spectrum, including venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Serving a distinguished portfolio of seven world-class owned venues in addition to numerous iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents, OVG has cemented its place as a powerhouse in the live entertainment industry.
Situated in Lexington, Kentucky, OVG’s Lexington branch is an integral part of this dynamic organization. Its mission is to ensure an exceptional guest experience across a variety of venues such as the Rupp Arena, CBC, and Soccer facilities. The company takes pride in cultivating a team-oriented environment that values innovation, diversity, and excellence to elevate live event experiences for all patrons.
The role of Parking Lot Attendant at OVG Lexington is a pivotal position within the company’s event operations team. This part-time position is designed for individuals who are committed to ensuring the smooth and safe management of parking operations during various events and daily functions. With an hourly wage of $18.00, this position demands reliability, attentiveness, and excellent interpersonal skills.
As a Parking Lot Attendant, you will operate on the front lines of event management, responsible for directing vehicles safely and efficiently within designated parking areas. You will manage traffic flow during the ingress and egress of events to minimize congestion and uphold safety standards. Your role extends to providing courteous and accurate assistance to guests, including offering directions, accessibility help, and responses to general parking inquiries. The position requires operation and maintenance of traffic control equipment such as cones, traffic wands, and signage, while also ensuring all issued equipment is accounted for and reported promptly if issues arise.
In addition to managing traffic and parking, attendants monitor all parking areas for any safety hazards or policy compliance issues, particularly emphasizing the needs of accessible parking and clear pedestrian pathways. You will also collaborate with the event operations team to set up and dismantle parking infrastructures and respond effectively to incidents, accidents, or guest concerns following established protocols.
Strong communication skills are essential, given that Parking Lot Attendants interact continuously with diverse guests, security teams, law enforcement, and event staff. The role also requires resilience and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in fast-paced and often high-pressure situations. The position is largely outdoors and demands the ability to work efficiently in varied weather conditions. Overall, the Parking Lot Attendant is crucial to the safety, operational efficiency, and positive guest experience synonymous with OVG’s events and venues.
