Their comprehensive platform encompasses venue development and end-to-end capabilities in venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales, positioning OVG as a key player in the global live entertainment industry.
The Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, located in Tallahassee, Florida at 505 West Pensacola Street, is one of the premier venues managed under the Oak View Group umbrella. Featuring a 12,500-seat arena, 34 luxury suites, 476 club seats, and over 54,000 square feet of meeting and exhibition space, the Civic Center offers multifaceted entertainment and event opportunities. The venue hosts Florida State University Men’s and Women’s basketball games, known for an electrifying atmosphere and formidable home court advantage. Besides sports events, it is frequently used for concerts, trade shows, large catered functions, receptions, religious services, and educational classes. The arena-view restaurant, the Spotlight Grille, adds to the venue’s comprehensive guest experience.
The Operations Supervisor role at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center is a full-time, regular position offering an hourly wage between $19.00 and $22.00. This pivotal role involves supervising and coordinating all event setup activities and facility operations to ensure seamless execution of various events. The Operations Supervisor leads the changeover staff responsible for event set-up and tear-down, maintaining event equipment like staging and basketball gear, organizing storage spaces, and overseeing daily maintenance operations. Additionally, this position involves supervising standby staff, stagehands, and other event support team members during live events, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high-quality service standards.
Another critical aspect of the role includes participating in the development and administration of the Operations Department budget, forecasting funds needed for staffing, equipment, and supplies. The Operations Supervisor also collaborates in purchasing event equipment and schedules payroll through management programs, delivering accurate labor reports to event managers timely. Building and maintaining tenant relations and assisting in opening and closing the facility for moves are essential components of this job.
This role demands someone with strong leadership and organizational skills, capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent written and oral communication abilities and a capacity to work outside regular business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Forklift and aerial lift certifications are required for safety and operational efficiency.
Full-time employees enjoy a competitive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, as well as paid time off comprising vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays annually. Oak View Group is committed to inclusivity, diversity, and equal employment opportunity, fostering a workplace that embraces different backgrounds and perspectives to drive innovation and excellence in the live entertainment industry. This position will remain open until October 23, 2026.
