At the core of OVG's mission is the commitment to innovation, excellence, and inclusivity, which drives the company’s culture and success in delivering unforgettable entertainment experiences worldwide.
The Operations Supervisor role is based at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center in Tallahassee, Florida, a premier multi-purpose venue managed by OVG. This full-time position offers an hourly wage ranging from $19.00 to $22.00 and includes valuable benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching, and paid time off covering vacation, sick days, and 11 holidays annually. The position remains open until October 23, 2026, providing a unique opportunity for candidates passionate about event operations to grow their careers with a prestigious and innovative company.
As an Operations Supervisor at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and overseeing the setup and conversion activities for various events hosted within the facility. You will be responsible for leading teams during event changeovers, including hiring, training, and scheduling changeover staff to ensure seamless transitions between events. This role demands strong leadership skills, sharp organizational abilities, and a hands-on approach to supervising event support staff such as stagehands and stand-by personnel during events.
Your daily duties will include maintaining the operational readiness of the building by assisting in maintenance tasks, organizing storage areas to promote efficiency, and managing the upkeep of event equipment such as staging and basketball gear. The supervisor will also be involved in the critical tasks of opening and closing the facility for move-ins and move-outs, maintaining positive tenant relations, and supporting the changeover department in various setup and teardown activities.
Budget management also forms a significant part of this role, as you will collaborate in forecasting and budgeting for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies within the Operations Department. You will assist in equipment purchasing, scheduling, and payroll approval processes to ensure operational and financial efficiency. Additionally, the Operations Supervisor is expected to ensure all part-time staff adhere to safety protocols and work efficiently, fostering a safe work environment for all personnel.
This challenging and rewarding role requires flexibility to work beyond regular business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the live event industry. Certifications such as forklift and aerial lift are mandatory, demonstrating the need for technical capabilities in safely operating essential machinery during venue operations.
OVG places a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion, recognizing that varied perspectives and backgrounds fuel creativity and service excellence. As part of your employment with OVG, you will contribute to an inclusive culture that values fairness and equal opportunity, supporting OVG's commitment to non-discriminatory hiring practices and a welcoming work environment for all employees.
Choosing to work at Oak View Group means joining a team united by a passion for live entertainment and a mission to revolutionize the industry. The Operations Supervisor role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to develop their expertise in facility operations within a globally recognized company dedicated to making a difference in the live events ecosystem.
