These include world-class arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions. The company's comprehensive platform spans venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales, delivering exceptional experiences for audiences and clients alike. OVG is renowned for its innovative approach, leveraging technology and industry expertise to transform venues into vibrant entertainment destinations.
The VyStar Pavilion, located in Port Wentworth, Georgia, is one of the premier outdoor entertainment venues managed by Oak View Group. With a seating capacity of 4,500, the pavilion offers luxury suites, club seating, and a first-rate food and beverage service. It hosts an array of national touring concerts, family shows, comedians, and other entertainment events. Additionally, the adjacent Port Wentworth Ice Cove supports small skating events, youth hockey, college hockey, collegiate and amateur sporting events, contributing to the region's dynamic sports and entertainment scene.
The full-time Operations Manager role at VyStar Pavilion offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of event and facility operations within this vibrant venue. The position is integral to ensuring the seamless execution of events, from set up to breakdown, while maintaining the venue's upkeep and operational excellence. Offering an annual salary range of $55,000 to $60,000, the role includes a comprehensive benefits package featuring health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, paid vacation, sick days, and holidays.
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing third-party operations, parking, and housekeeping staff, including their recruitment, training, motivation, and evaluation. Effective coordination and communication between departments will be essential, with delegation of assignments to ensure smooth facility operations. You will play a key role in the upkeep and maintenance of the facility, collaborating closely with various teams to maintain high standards.
The position also involves managing the ice rinks, including scheduling staff and overseeing ice installation, maintenance, and event support. This includes troubleshooting equipment like Zambonis and other machinery, developing parking procedures aligned with corporate standards, and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols, laws, ordinances, and risk management policies.
Success in this role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in arena or entertainment venue operations, facility management, and staff supervision. Proficiency in operational software and a solid understanding of event production, including concerts and sporting events, are vital. Additionally, knowledge of hockey facilities, ice maintenance equipment, and industry regulations will be a distinct advantage.
Joining Oak View Group means becoming part of a diverse and inclusive team dedicated to innovation and excellence in live entertainment. OVG values the unique contributions of every team member and is committed to creating an environment that celebrates diverse backgrounds and perspectives while fostering personal and professional growth. The company promotes equal opportunity employment and strives to maintain a workplace free from discrimination.
This position will remain open until October 23, 2026, and offers a rewarding career path for professionals eager to contribute to the success of a leading global entertainment company.
