Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services. Established in 2015, OVG operates a dynamic platform that spans venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales across multiple continents. They manage and work with seven world-class owned venues and have an extensive client base that includes iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions. Oak View Group is dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences through its comprehensive services and industry expertise.
Located in the heart of downtown Lansing, Michigan, Jackson Field is a first-class baseball stadium that serves as home to the Lansing Lugnuts, a minor league baseball team. This premium venue accommodates over 12,000 fans and offers a vibrant, energetic atmosphere for live sporting events. Jackson Field combines a traditional baseball experience with modern amenities to provide guests with memorable and enjoyable visits.
Oak View Group is currently seeking a Part-Time Line Cook to join their team at Jackson Field. The Line Cook will play a vital role in preparing fresh, high-quality food items to be served to fans and guests attending events at the stadium. This role offers an hourly wage ranging from $17.00 to $19.00, reflecting the company’s commitment to fair compensation for skilled culinary professionals.
The Line Cook position involves working closely with other kitchen staff to prepare both hot and cold dishes according to company recipes and strict portioning guidelines. This role often includes direct interaction with the public, especially in buffet line settings where slicing meats and preparing made-to-order dishes is common. Maintaining food safety, sanitation, and health standards is a critical aspect of the daily responsibilities.
This position requires dependability, excellent attendance, and availability to work during various scheduled events based on business needs. The Line Cook will support the culinary team by reporting any required kitchen equipment maintenance and ensuring food is cooked correctly to meet quality standards. Additionally, the Line Cook will participate in garnishing and arranging food plates before delivery to guests and collaborate with the Executive Chef or Kitchen Supervisor in menu planning and food consumption estimation.
Oak View Group emphasizes creating an inclusive and diverse team environment, recognizing that diverse perspectives drive innovation and excellence. As an equal opportunity employer, Oak View Group welcomes candidates from all backgrounds to apply and contribute to its mission of disrupting the sports and live entertainment industry positively.
For part-time employees, Oak View Group offers benefits including a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions. This part-time opportunity remains open for applications until August 21, 2026, providing candidates ample time to join this esteemed team at Jackson Field and contribute to the ongoing success of the Lansing Lugnuts’ game-day experience.
