This role is a part-time Line Cook position based at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. The position offers an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic food service team supporting athletic events and other large-scale gatherings such as catered events. As a Line Cook, you will work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment primarily during CSU’s football season, starting with the opener scheduled for September 5th. The role requires commitment to all seven home football games, each with shifts ranging from 9 to 12 hours. Catering opportunities may also be available depending on scheduling.
The position pays an hourly wage between $21.00 and $25.00 and includes benefits designed for part-time employees such as a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and accrued paid leave granting one hour of paid leave for every 30 hours worked up to 48 hours annually. The work environment fosters teamwork and the development of culinary skills while providing high-quality food products to guests at major sporting and special events.
The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing hot and cold foods according to company recipes and portion guidelines, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are continually met. This role is integral in contributing to excellent customer service during high-profile events by managing food preparation, portioning, garnishing, and timely delivery of quality dishes. Coordination with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Supervisor will be necessary for menu planning and estimating food consumption based on the event schedule.
OVG embraces diversity and inclusion as a core value, recognizing that a varied team drives innovation and strengthens their people and service quality. The organization is an equal opportunity employer committed to non-discrimination on all protected grounds under federal, state, and local laws.
