Known for its innovative approach and commitment to excellence, Oak View Group provides a dynamic and inclusive workplace focused on disrupting the sports and live entertainment industry through diverse teams and inclusive practices.

This part-time Line Cook position is specifically tied to Colorado State University, located in Fort Collins, Colorado. This opportunity is ideal for culinary professionals looking to grow their skills in high-volume food service operations, particularly in the exciting environment of athletic and special events. The position centers around preparing high-quality, fresh food products for Colorado State University’s athletic events, especially during the football season, which runs from early September through late November of 2026. The line cook will participate in all seven home football games, with shifts ranging from 9 to 12 hours per event, alongside the possibility of catering events when available.

Working as a Line Cook with Oak View Group at Colorado State University means being part of a team that delivers exceptional quality and service at some of the university’s most high-profile events. Responsibilities include preparing hot and cold foods that meet company recipe and portioning standards, ensuring proper cooking through observation and testing, garnishing and arranging plates for delivery to guests, as well as maintaining kitchen sanitation and safety standards. The line cook is also expected to be a collaborative team player, coordinating closely with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and Kitchen Supervisor for menu planning and food consumption estimates.

This role demands excellent attendance, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. Experience in operating standard kitchen equipment such as broilers, steamers, convection ovens, mixers, meat slicers, and chef knives is highly preferred. Additionally, possession of a valid food handling certificate and ServSafe certification is favored.

In return for your skills and dedication, Oak View Group offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $21.00 to $25.00, along with access to a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions. Furthermore, part-time employees benefit from accrued paid leave calculated at one hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours annually. With its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, Oak View Group fosters a work environment that celebrates varied backgrounds and perspectives, enhancing innovation and service excellence. This position reflects OVG’s dedication to providing equal employment opportunities and maintaining a respectful and collaborative workplace.

For those passionate about culinary arts and eager to contribute to memorable sporting event experiences at Colorado State University, this Line Cook role presents a unique and rewarding career path with opportunities for professional growth in a supportive team setting.
