The Food Runner position at Chickie's & Pete's offers a dynamic part-time role that is ideal for individuals passionate about food service and customer interaction. The Food Runner supports servers by efficiently delivering food from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring that hot foods remain hot and cold foods remain cold, thereby maintaining the quality and presentation standards specified by the menu. This role serves as a vital link between the kitchen staff, servers, and guests. The Food Runner is also responsible for assisting with food preparation, garnishing dishes according to menu builds, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work areas.
This position requires a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to perform physical activities including cleaning, climbing, lifting, walking, balancing, and handling materials
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Previous experience in a fast-paced food service environment preferred

Job Duties
- Smile and maintain a positive attitude at all times
- Deliver food from kitchen to appropriate server and assist server with delivery of food to guests
- Work with expeditor to ensure efficient delivery of food based on restaurant layout
- Perform food preparation duties when needed
- Follow all Chickie's & Pete's service standards
- Check food for quality and presentation before serving
- Ensure food is transported and handled in a sanitary manner
- Deliver to-go orders to host/hostess stand for guest pick-up
- Assist in bussing and cleaning responsibilities
- Ensure all condiments and napkin dispensers are clean and well-stocked
- Respond appropriately to guest requests, comments and complaints
- Complete beginning, change, and end of shift duties
- Work efficiently and with a sense of urgency
- Provide garnish for specified menu items according to menu build
- Assist in keeping work areas clean
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings
- Additional tasks as assigned by management
