The Food Runner role at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is a vital part-time position focused on enhancing the dining experience of guests by ensuring prompt and accurate delivery of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required
- Food Handler Certification is required where applicable by state or local regulations
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry trays, dishes, and heavy supplies
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and twist throughout the shift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while carrying food safely

Job Duties
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests quickly, accurately, and professionally
- Verify each order for accuracy, presentation, and completeness before leaving the kitchen
- Communicate with kitchen staff and servers regarding order modifications, allergies, and special requests
- Describe menu items to guests when delivering food, if needed
- Assist in ensuring all food is served at the appropriate temperature and according to company presentation standards
- Monitor the dining room and assist servers by refilling water, delivering condiments, and responding to guest requests
- Clear plates and assist with resetting tables as needed
