The Food & Beverage Manager position at the Greenville SC Convention Center location is a key role responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of food and beverage operations including concession outlets, bars, vending services, and catered events. This full-time role requires a dedicated professional with strong management skills to ensure the highest standards of product quality, customer service, sanitation, and alcohol service compliance. In this role, the Food & Beverage Manager will strategically plan events using historical data and industry trends to optimize operations. The position involves close collaboration with event coordinators and the sales team to coordinate logistics, menu selections, and operational hours for concession and bar outlets. Training staff on sanitation, alcohol awareness, and service standards is a critical component of the role.
Additionally, the manager will be responsible for scheduling part-time and temporary staff in alignment with workload demands and budget constraints, ordering necessary supplies such as beverages, condiments, and disposables, and overseeing the setup and breakdown of retail and catered events. The manager will also conduct monthly inventories of supplies for catering, concessions, vending, and bar operations, ensure proper register setup, and stock vending machines as needed. As part of managing catered events, the Food & Beverage Manager will supervise event staff including captains, servers, and runners, while participating actively in weekly and monthly food and beverage planning meetings.

Job Duties
- Organize and strategically plan for events utilizing historic records or similar event trends
- train and enforce sanitation, alcohol awareness, and service standards
- meet event coordinators and the sales team to discuss the flow of events, special considerations, the location of stands, menus, and hours of operation for concession and bar outlets
- schedule part-time and temporary staff for events according to workload and fiscal guidelines
- order beverages, alcoholic beverages, condiments, and disposable ware
- oversee set-up and breakdown of all retail and catered events
- assure proper set-up of registers for each event
- conduct monthly inventories of catering, concessions, vending, and bar supplies
- stock vending machines as needed
- assist in the planning and execution of catered events, to include supervising captains, servers, and runners
