OVG manages seven world-class owned venues and works with a client roster featuring iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. Oak View Group is known for its dedication to innovation and disruption in the sports and entertainment industry, prioritizing long-term investments in its workforce and the environment. The company fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace culture based on fairness, integrity, entrepreneurial spirit, and community engagement.
One of OVG’s notable managed venues is the Blue Arena located at The Ranch Events Complex in Loveland, Colorado. Blue Arena is a multi-purpose venue with 6,800 seats and has served as the home for the Colorado Eagles of the American Hockey League since its opening in September 2003. Owned by Larimer County and managed by Oak View Group, Blue Arena is a hub for sports and entertainment in Northern Colorado. The venue offers versatile configurations to host a variety of events including hockey, basketball, football, rodeos, concerts, trade shows, and family shows. Situated less than an hour from Denver and Cheyenne, Blue Arena is part of a larger 374,000 square-foot fairground complex, making it an essential venue in the region.
The Event Manager role at Blue Arena is a full-time position with an annual salary range between $58,000 and $62,000. This role holds significant responsibility in overseeing both the Guest Service staff and the successful execution of various assigned events. Core duties include recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising all Guest Service employees, ensuring they are motivated and equipped to provide outstanding service. Additionally, the Event Manager is charged with organizing event layouts, scheduling staff, and managing billing processes to guarantee smooth event operations. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
The Event Manager will be responsible for managing labor allocations, developing event logistics, serving as a liaison between the venue and event stakeholders, and ensuring all necessary licenses, permits, and insurance certificates are obtained timely. The role also entails budget preparation and post-event financial settlements, coupled with continuous communication with venue management to address any issues and identify solutions. The position expects flexibility in work hours, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and extended durations during event days. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and withstand prolonged physical activities like walking, standing, and bending in various environmental conditions.
Working at Oak View Group means joining a culture that celebrates diversity and inclusivity, recognizing that a broad range of perspectives and ideas drives innovation and excellence. OVG values integrity, respect, entrepreneurship, and community responsibility, aiming to create positive experiences for fans, clients, and staff worldwide. This role offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and paid time off covering vacation, sick days, and holidays. The position is open until July 10, 2026, providing candidates with ample time to apply and join a passionate team dedicated to delivering premier live entertainment experiences.
