The Event Security position at Oak View Group is a part-time role, offering a competitive hourly wage of $45.00. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safety and security of all events held at the Crown Complex. The person in this position will be responsible for protecting guests, staff, and assets, responding to security issues swiftly, and maintaining a secure environment throughout the duration of events as well as during non-event days or nights when special security assignments may be needed. Working as part of a dedicated security team, this role requires reliability, professionalism, and a strong customer service mindset.
Key responsibilities include conducting building safety inspections, responding to medical or fire emergencies, providing escorts for guests within the complex, and managing lost and found items. The role demands adherence to all established security protocols while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor. Since the security team serves as direct service providers to guests, a courteous and positive attitude is essential. This position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on the event schedule.

Job Requirements
- Must be an active-duty Cumberland County Deputy
- Able to work events as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong oral and written communication skills required
- Ability to work beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends, and select holidays
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Must demonstrate a positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude

Job Duties
- Respond to requests for assistance from staff and visitors for a variety of security issues including fire and medical emergencies
- Perform all event and non-event security duties as assigned
- Conduct building safety inspections including pre-event and post-event safety checks
- Follow all established security procedures
- Answer information requests from staff and guests during events or as needed
- Protect equipment, materials, and structures throughout the work schedule
- Provide regular security functions within the Complex and related areas prior to, during, and after all events
- Maintain a clean, neat appearance with a complete CC deputy uniform
- Turn in all lost and found items to the Event Manager on duty when applicable
- Provide escorts of persons to and from locations within the complex when requested
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
