Job Description
Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, operating as a powerhouse in venue development and management. Since its founding in 2015, OVG has expanded into a world-class platform that manages a collection of seven owned venues and partners with some of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. The company specializes in end-to-end venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales, delivering industry-leading live event experiences across a variety of entertainment sectors.
The Oak View Group is now seeking a dedicated and experienced Event Manager to join their team at the Rio Rancho Events Center, located in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This full-time position plays a critical role in the seamless execution of live events, where the Event Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of assigned events from the initial planning phase through to the final wrap-up. Reporting to venue management leadership, this role requires a leader who can oversee the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of event staff to ensure smooth operations during events. This includes not only managing the event preparation but also liaising with building security and local public safety officials to maintain a secure and enjoyable environment for patrons and participants.
The Event Manager will act as the primary point of contact for the event’s success, focusing heavily on customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Responsibilities will include coordinating communication between event staff, security personnel, and lessees, overseeing equipment and logistical support, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. The position offers an annual salary ranging from $50,000 to $60,000, reflecting the level of expertise and leadership expected. Additionally, OVG offers competitive benefits for full-time employees, including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, as well as paid time off comprising vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays.
The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of progressively responsible event management experience within stadiums, arenas, convention centers, or public assembly facilities, coupled with a Bachelor’s degree in facility management, hospitality management, business, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong knowledge of event operations, crowd management, and customer service standards are essential. This role demands excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to supervise and train staff effectively. Familiarity with facility use contracts, fire and safety regulations, and budgeting are critical, while experience with AutoCAD is preferred but not mandatory.
Working at OVG goes beyond managing events; it means becoming part of a company committed to strengthening communities through diverse, inclusive, and innovative environments. The company values collaboration and dedication, recognizing that every team member contributes to delivering world-class live entertainment experiences and making a lasting impact in the industry.
This position will remain open until September 11, 2026, providing an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals eager to advance their careers in event management with a leader in global live entertainment infrastructure and services.
