The company boasts a comprehensive platform that spans venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. OVG manages a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a prestigious client roster including iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. This expansive network positions OVG at the forefront of the live entertainment industry, delivering exceptional experiences to millions of patrons worldwide. The company is committed to innovation, inclusivity, and excellence, fostering a diverse work environment where every employee is empowered to contribute meaningfully to its mission.
The Rio Rancho Events Center, managed by OVG, is a versatile 8,000-seat multi-purpose venue located in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Opening its doors in October 2006, the center is home to the New Mexico Goatheads (ECHL) and New Mexico Runners (Major Arena Soccer League). This arena, owned by the City of Rio Rancho and situated less than an hour from Albuquerque and Santa Fe, hosts a variety of events including concerts, hockey, basketball, indoor football, family shows, rodeos, trade shows, and a variety of flexible setups tailored to suit any event. This dynamic environment demands robust, meticulous event management to ensure seamless operations for diverse audiences and event types.
The full-time Event Manager role at the Rio Rancho Events Center, offering an annual salary range of $50,000 to $60,000, is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing every aspect of assigned events from initial planning to completion. This includes hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising all event staff, as well as managing building security in collaboration with local public safety officials to guarantee smooth event flow. The role requires effective communication and coordination between event, security, and building staff, emphasizing customer and lessee satisfaction as a paramount focus.
As an Event Manager, you will engage in advance planning and real-time problem solving to ensure operational excellence. You will interact closely with event personnel, contractors, clients, and municipal officials, acting as a liaison to maintain productive working relationships and compliance with venue policies and safety regulations. Your leadership will be essential in organizing staff schedules, delegating tasks, and supervising security operations, including managing equipment such as radios and metal detection wands. The role also involves financial responsibilities like preparing pre-show estimates, post-show settlements, and bi-weekly payrolls, as well as coordinating with food and beverage providers to arrange hospitality services.
This position requires someone who is adaptable and detail-oriented, capable of handling a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed to support live events. Oak View Group values teamwork, customer service excellence, and a commitment to creating safe, enjoyable event experiences. Benefits include comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and paid time off including vacation, sick leave, and holidays. This role represents an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking a challenging career in venue and event management within a leading global entertainment company. The position remains open through September 11, 2026, inviting qualified candidates passionate about live events and exceptional service to join the Oak View Group team.
