The company proudly manages a portfolio of seven world-class owned venues along with a distinguished client roster that includes some of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions worldwide, spanning four continents.
The Stormont Vail Events Center in Topeka, Kansas, is one of OVG's premier venues. This 80-acre site, located at the heart of Topeka, boasts a rich history of agricultural, educational, and entertainment activities. The centerpiece of this venue is the Landon Arena, a 10,000-seat multi-purpose arena built in 1987 and named after former Kansas governor Alfred M. Landon. The Stormont Vail Events Center continues to serve as a hub for diverse events ranging from sports and concerts to exhibitions and community gatherings.
The Event Coordinator role at the Stormont Vail Events Center is a full-time position focused on orchestrating all facets of event operations to ensure seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences. The coordinator acts as the central point of contact between event promoters, stakeholders, and various venue departments. Responsibilities include developing and managing staffing plans, coordinating labor, overseeing logistics, and ensuring all event details—from seating arrangements to security—are accurately planned and executed.
This role demands excellent communication and organizational skills, as the Event Coordinator must distribute event information effectively to all involved departments, manage event billing and settlements, and provide superior customer service to guests. The position requires working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended event durations. The hourly pay range for this role is competitive at $16.50 to $18.00.
Working at OVG means being part of a dynamic team dedicated to creating outstanding live entertainment experiences. The company values inclusivity, diversity, and collaborative environments that celebrate the unique talents of every team member. With benefits that include health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching, and generous paid time off, OVG provides a rewarding and supportive workplace.
In summary, the Event Coordinator position at Stormont Vail Events Center offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a legacy venue managed by a global entertainment leader. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of events, meeting client needs, and upholding the high standards of Oak View Group.
