The Event Coordinator position at the Nampa Civic Center is a full-time role, offering an hourly wage of $20.00 to $24.00. The core responsibility of this role is to manage and supervise all aspects of events held within the venue, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences. This position demands a proactive and detail-oriented professional adept at coordinating with various stakeholders, including promoters, show representatives, sports teams, and internal departments. The coordinator is tasked with preparing and disseminating event information, managing labor and security staffing plans, overseeing logistics, and supporting billing and post-event reporting processes. The role requires engaging daily with multiple teams to maintain smooth operations from event inception to completion. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards Oak View Group is known for by ensuring every event at the Nampa Civic Center meets quality and operational benchmarks. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in event coordination or related field preferred
  • Ability to work flexible and sometimes demanding schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments and external clients
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • 4-year degree from a college or university preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in the same or similar position in arenas, convention centers, stadiums or theaters preferred
  • Ability to work flexible and sometimes demanding schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, CAD, and Ticketmaster ticketing software preferred
  • Previous experience preparing Event Data Sheets a plus

Job Duties

  • Advance each show/event with appropriate show/promoter representatives in a timely fashion
  • Communicate all event information to the appropriate departments and staff
  • Develop accurate event seating information with the box office manager and operations manager and ensure that event set-ups are accurate
  • Communicate in a timely manner with each department head regarding specific needs and information for each event
  • Prepare and distribute the Event Data Sheet to all staff and departments in a timely manner
  • Prepare post-event reports for all events coordinated
  • Meet with facility sports tenants to collect and distribute game requirements and coordinate efforts to produce tenant events
  • Work with promoters and agents to coordinate and facilitate client needs for each event and provide cost estimates as required/requested
  • Preparation of and submission of expenses for event settlement
  • Attend settlement if required
  • Execute other operational duties as assigned
