Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in the live entertainment industry, specializing in premium venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Since its inception in 2015, OVG has established itself as a pioneering force serving a portfolio of seven owned venues as well as a diverse client roster that includes iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. The company is dedicated to creating exceptional live experiences through state-of-the-art infrastructure, innovative operational strategies, and unparalleled service standards.
The Nampa Civic Center, located in Nampa, Idaho, is seeking a dedicated full-time Event Coordinator to join their dynamic team. This role operates within a vibrant venue that hosts a diverse range of events, from large concerts and sporting events to community gatherings and corporate meetings. The Event Coordinator position is hourly paid between $20.00 and $24.00 and includes full-time benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and paid time off that covers vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a globally recognized company that thrives on innovation and excellence in live event production.
As an Event Coordinator at the Nampa Civic Center, you will be entrusted with overseeing all aspects of events within the venue. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless execution of each event by handling coordination and supervision of event-related activities vital to the facility's operation. This includes developing comprehensive event plans, maintaining security staffing arrangements, managing labor assignments, collecting and disseminating crucial event information from promoters, show representatives, and sports teams, preparing billing documentation and providing support, as well as delivering outstanding customer service to all guests.
Additionally, this role involves detailed communication across multiple departments to guarantee accurate event setup and efficient resource allocation. You will collaborate closely with box office and operations managers to finalize seating arrangements and ensure each event setup meets the required standards. Daily tasks include preparing and distributing event data sheets to all relevant staff, generating post-event reports for performance review, and liaising with facility sports tenants to understand and coordinate game requirements. Coordination with promoters and agents is also essential to address client needs and provide accurate cost estimates.
The Event Coordinator is expected to manage expenses related to event settlements, including preparation and submission of associated documentation and attendance at settlements when necessary. Beyond event execution, the role demands flexibility to undertake additional operational duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success and smooth functioning of the venue.
This position requires a mix of administrative acumen, organizational skills, and interpersonal effectiveness to maintain high standards of event management that meet both client expectations and company goals. Candidates interested in this role should be prepared for a demanding schedule that may include nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours. Prior experience with Microsoft Office, CAD systems, and Ticketmaster ticketing software is preferred, as is experience in preparing event data sheets. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and 1-2 years of experience in similar settings such as arenas, convention centers, stadiums, or theaters would be advantageous.
Oak View Group prides itself on its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering a work environment where varied perspectives drive innovation and service excellence. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, OVG strictly adheres to non-discrimination policies and encourages applicants from all backgrounds to apply, ensuring a culture that reflects the communities it serves.
If you are passionate about live events and eager to contribute to a leading company in this industry, the Nampa Civic Center Event Coordinator role presents a unique opportunity to grow your career while playing a crucial part in delivering memorable experiences.
