The Event Coordinator role based at the Nampa Civic Center in Nampa, Idaho, is a full-time opportunity with an hourly pay range between $20.00 and $24.00. This position is essential in orchestrating all event-related activities to ensure smooth operations within the venue. The Event Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for handling events, coordinating with show promoters, sports teams, and various departments within the facility. This position demands exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple moving parts, as it involves everything from security staffing and labor management to billing support and customer service representation. The coordinator is responsible for advancing each event, communicating necessary information across departments, preparing seating and event data sheets, and handling post-event reports. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with sports team tenants and promoters to meet event needs and assist with cost estimates and financial settlements.
This role is pivotal for supporting the venue’s mission to deliver excellent customer experiences and operational efficiency. It offers a dynamic work schedule that may include nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours, reflecting the diverse nature of live events. Strong skills in Microsoft Office, CAD software, and familiarity with Ticketmaster ticketing software are highly preferred. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of related event coordination experience preferred
- ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- proficient in Microsoft Office
- willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- 4-year degree from a college or university preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in the same or similar position in arenas, convention centers, stadiums, or theaters preferred
- ability to work flexible and demanding schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
- experience with Microsoft Office products, CAD, and Ticketmaster ticketing software preferred
- previous experience preparing Event Data Sheets a plus
Job Duties
- Advance each show/event with appropriate show/promoter representatives in a timely fashion
- communicate all event information to appropriate departments and staff
- develop accurate event seating information with box office and operations managers
- communicate promptly with department heads about specific event needs
- prepare and distribute Event Data Sheets to staff and departments
- prepare post-event reports
- meet with sports tenants to collect and distribute game requirements
- work with promoters and agents to coordinate client needs and provide cost estimates
- prepare and submit expenses for event settlement
- execute other assigned operational duties
