The Greensboro Coliseum Complex, a key component of this network, is a multi-venue facility located in Greensboro, North Carolina. This versatile complex plays an essential role in the regional community by hosting a broad spectrum of events. These range from athletic competitions, concerts, and theatrical performances to cultural showcases, educational activities, fairs, and exhibitions. The Coliseum Complex also serves public and private gatherings, including conventions, trade shows, and consumer expos. The largest of its nine venues is the First Horizon Coliseum, with a seating capacity of 22,000, having historically hosted prestigious ACC and NCAA basketball championships as well as legendary musical acts spanning decades. Complementing the Coliseum are spaces such as the Special Events Center, White Oak Amphitheatre, Piedmont Hall, Odeon Theatre, and other versatile facilities. Annually, the complex hosts over 1,100 events, earning it worldwide acclaim among promoters, event planners, and audiences.
The Event Coordinator position at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex is a full-time role under the supervision of the Senior Event Manager. This dynamic role involves supporting the planning and execution of a diverse range of events at the First Horizon Coliseum and the Steven Tanger Center. The coordinator acts as a multifaceted support system, responsible for overseeing all event-related activities critical to smooth facility operations. Key responsibilities include collaboration with internal event teams, managing client communications, preparing event-related financial documents such as billing and settlements, and developing staffing and labor plans to ensure operational excellence and positive experiences for both guests and venue users.
This position requires exceptional organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Event Coordinator must be adept at managing multiple stakeholders, including clients, promoters, internal departments, and external service providers, all while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency. With an hourly wage ranging from $22.00 to $25.00, this role also offers comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and paid time off encompassing vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Prior experience in event coordination or similar roles preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with major coursework in facility management, hospitality management, business, or a related field preferred
- 1-2+ years of experience in the same or similar position in arenas, sports venues, convention centers, stadiums, or theaters preferred
- Basic knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office Suite, and AutoCAD
- Excellent collaboration, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills required
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Participate and perform duties to support the planning, execution, and post-load-out of events
- Work concisely with Event Managers when adjusting plans and events based on clients' feedback and needs
- Communicate in a timely manner with each department regarding specific needs and information for each event
- Prepare and present the event memo document to all staff and departments in a timely manner
- Serve as a liaison between the client (Lessee) of the facility and the facility staff
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, internal departments, and external support staff
- Prepare and assist with the completion of pre-show event financial estimates and post-event settlements
