Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader specializing in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services. Established in 2015, OVG has grown to manage a diverse array of venues including arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. Their expertise spans venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales, making them a powerhouse in the live event space. The company owns and operates seven world-class venues and collaborates with some of the most iconic locations worldwide. This vast network and comprehensive service offering ensure they provide top-tier experiences for event organizers, performers, and audiences alike.

One of the key venues under OVG’s management is the Greensboro Coliseum Complex in Greensboro, North Carolina. This versatile, multi-building complex serves as a vital hub for community activities in the region. With nine different venues, it hosts over 1,100 events annually, ranging from athletic competitions and cultural arts showcases to concerts, theater performances, trade shows, and public and private gatherings. The Greensboro Coliseum Complex includes the 22,000-seat First Horizon Coliseum—an arena known for hosting prestigious ACC and NCAA basketball championships as well as legendary concerts by artists like Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, Elvis Presley, Drake, Bad Bunny, and Taylor Swift. Beyond this, the complex features the Special Events Center, White Oak Amphitheatre, Piedmont Hall, Novant Health Fieldhouse, Greensboro Aquatic Center, The Terrace, ACC Hall of Champions, and the Odeon Theatre, offering extraordinary flexibility and worldwide acclaim.

The Event Coordinator position at Greensboro Coliseum Complex is a full-time role, offering a competitive hourly wage of $22.00 to $25.00. Reporting directly to the Senior Event Manager, this role is instrumental in ensuring the smooth planning and execution of a diverse range of events at key venues such as the First Horizon Coliseum and the Steven Tanger Center. The coordinator engages closely with multiple stakeholders, including internal event departments, clients, promoters, and show representatives, to collect and disseminate vital event information, prepare billing, and support the development of staffing and labor plans. This multifaceted position demands exceptional organizational skills, strong communication, and the ability to adapt plans dynamically based on client feedback and event needs.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about live event coordination within a well-established and respected entertainment group. Candidates will be part of a collaborative team committed to delivering seamless and memorable experiences for guests and venue users. The job also comes with comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and paid time off encompassing vacation days, sick leave, and recognized holidays. This position exemplifies OVG’s dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace environment where all employees can thrive and contribute to the ongoing disruption of the live entertainment industry.
