Oak View Group (OVG) is a renowned leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, celebrated globally for its expansive platform that encompasses venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Founded in 2015, Oak View Group has rapidly built an impressive portfolio, managing seven world-class owned venues and a client roster that includes some of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. The company is recognized not only for its innovation in the industry but also for its commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and community engagement, fostering a supportive environment where creativity and excellence flourish.
PeoplesBank Arena, located at One Civic Center Plaza in Hartford, Connecticut, serves as a prime example of OVG’s quality venues. It is home to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League, the primary developmental affiliate for the New York Rangers. This arena attracts millions of visitors annually and hosts a diverse array of events including major concerts, family shows, and ice-skating performances. The venue has been graced by music icons such as Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, Justin Timberlake, Nicki Minaj, and Andrea Bocelli, among others. As a centerpiece for sports and entertainment in Hartford and the State of Connecticut, PeoplesBank Arena provides memorable experiences for fans and guests year-round.
This part-time Event Assistant position at PeoplesBank Arena offers an hourly wage ranging from $26.00 to $30.00, with valuable benefits including a 401(k) savings plan and matching contributions, which is an attractive package for a part-time role. The position involves close collaboration with multiple departments within the venue including Event Management, Guest Services, and Event Security, ensuring smooth and efficient event operations. Responsibilities range from scheduling and coordinating part-time event staff to assisting with VIP and sponsorship activations, providing guest services during events, handling administrative duties such as creating deployment sheets, and supporting day-to-day operational tasks like parking management and lost-and-found programs.
The Event Assistant will play a crucial role in event execution, encompassing both pre-event preparation and active involvement during events. The position requires an individual who can thrive under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in often fast-paced and high-energy settings. Candidates should be detail-oriented, highly motivated, able to work independently, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and various shifts during events is essential for success in this role.
Overall, joining Oak View Group as an Event Assistant at PeoplesBank Arena means becoming part of a dynamic team dedicated to creating extraordinary live entertainment experiences. It is an opportunity to gain valuable industry experience within a supportive and innovative environment, contributing to the legacy of one of the leading entertainment infrastructure companies in the world.
