The Iowa Events Center, located in Des Moines, Iowa, is part of Oak View Group's extensive venue network. As a premier destination for meetings, events, and entertainment, the center includes Casey's Center, a notable venue within the complex. The Iowa Events Center strives to foster vibrant community engagement and host a wide range of events, from concerts and conventions to sporting events and cultural gatherings, attracting diverse audiences and promoting economic growth in the region.
Oak View Group is currently seeking a full-time Digital Marketing Coordinator to join the Iowa Events Center team. This dynamic role is crucial to the center's marketing efforts, aiming to promote the venue as a top-choice destination and drive ticket sales and attendance for Casey's Center events. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong foundation in marketing and communications, specifically in digital marketing strategies and innovative campaign implementation.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Digital Marketing Coordinator will work closely with various internal departments including Ad Sales, Premium Seating, Marketing, and Sales to integrate marketing efforts that maximize return on investment. This role requires a motivated team player who is adept at analyzing engagement and sales data, researching customer trends, and applying innovative digital marketing tactics across multiple social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Responsibilities encompass managing content calendars, producing engaging multimedia content including video, photography, and graphics, and supporting database marketing initiatives. The coordinator will also participate in event-day activities by delivering real-time content and maintaining adherence to branding guidelines across all communication channels. This position demands flexibility, creativity, and strong organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
This opportunity offers an hourly wage between $21.60 and $22.60, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- experience in digital marketing
- knowledge of marketing and advertising sponsorship program development
- strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing tools
- proficiency in microsoft office applications
- ability to communicate effectively in english
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- detail oriented and organized
- strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- bachelor's degree in marketing, digital marketing, communications, analytics, business administration or related field
- experience in digital marketing preferably in a concert venue, sports arena or hospitality related position
- knowledge of marketing and advertising sponsorship program development
- strong understanding of social media, web-based advertising, CRM, and website maintenance
- ability to communicate clearly and concisely in english both orally and in writing
- proficiency in microsoft office applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation, graphic design, powerpoint and internet software
- ability to formulate creative and original promotional ideas
- ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- detail oriented with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- exemplary customer service skills with ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
- flexibility to work early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended workdays and extended number of days
Job Duties
- assist in the development and implementation of marketing programs across social media platforms for Iowa Events Center and Casey's Center brands
- understand and analyze engagement and sales data to implement tactics that grow metrics
- research customer engagement trends and best practices
- collaborate with Ad Sales, Premium Seating, Marketing and Sales departments on revenue and engagement initiatives
- create and support content calendars for upcoming events and community engagement
- support innovation in digital marketing strategy including social media, podcasts, database marketing, video, and website presence
- produce content for social media channels including video, photography, graphics, and text
