The Digital Marketing Coordinator position at Iowa Events Center, a key venue under the Oak View Group umbrella located in Des Moines, Iowa, offers an exciting opportunity for an innovative marketer to join a dynamic team. This is a full-time role that pays an hourly rate between $21.60 and $22.60. The position focuses on applying digital marketing strategies to promote the Iowa Events Center and Casey's Center as prime destinations for meetings, events, and entertainment. Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, this role is integral in supporting marketing efforts that help boost attendance and ticket sales through various digital channels.

The Digital Marketing Coordinator will collaborate closely with multiple departments, including marketing, ticket sales, ad sales, and premium seating, to create cohesive campaigns designed to maximize revenue and audience engagement. Key responsibilities include managing social media accounts across platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok, ensuring content is current, engaging, and aligned with branding guidelines. The role requires the ability to analyze data and customer engagement trends to implement innovative tactics that grow reach and improve ROI.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. They should have strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with proficiency in digital tools including Microsoft Office, web analytics, CRM, and content management systems. Experience with content creation, including photography, video, graphic design, and social media copywriting, is essential to produce compelling multimedia campaigns. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Analytics, Business Administration or another related field
  • Experience in digital marketing, preferably with a concert venue or sports arena or other hospitality related position
  • Knowledge of marketing and advertising/sponsorship program development
  • Strong understanding of social media, web-based advertising, CRM, and website maintenance
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation, graphic design, PowerPoint and Internet software
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate creative and original promotional ideas
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
  • Must be detail oriented, have strong organizational skills, and demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Exemplary customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended (long) workdays and extended numbers of days

Job Duties

  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing programs across all social media platforms for Iowa Events Center and Casey's Center brands
  • Understand and analyze engagement and sales data with the purpose of implementing tactics to grow metrics for existing and new platforms
  • Research customer engagement trends and best practices
  • Collaborate with Ad Sales, Premium Seating, Marketing and Sales departments on their revenue and engagement initiatives to maximize ROI for the Iowa Events Center
  • Create and support content calendars to support upcoming events, venue projects, and community engagement
  • Support innovation regarding the Iowa Events Center's digital marketing strategy, inclusive of social media, podcasts, database marketing, video, and website presence
  • Assist with event day activities, providing real-time content across multiple social media platforms
  • Produce content for social media channels, including video, photography, graphics and text
  • Maintain adherence to facility branding guidelines in all activities in verbal and written communications and graphics
  • Participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions for upcoming events and projects
  • Assist our Database Marketing Coordinator with email and text marketing initiatives
  • Answer customer service questions that come into our platforms
