The Oak View Group is seeking a part-time Cook to join its culinary team at Colorado State University’s Performance Dining program located in Fort Collins, Colorado. This role offers an hourly wage between $20.00 and $24.00, providing an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals who enjoy contributing to dynamic, high-paced environments. As a Performance Dining Cook, you will be at the heart of the team delivering premium game-day catering experiences and maintaining high standards of quality food preparation. The role requires you to prepare both hot and cold menu items adhering to specific company recipes and portion sizes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and food safety. Working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, you will be responsible for using various types of cooking equipment, such as broilers, steamers, convection ovens, mixers, and slicers. You will also be expected to maintain a sanitary workspace, follow health and safety regulations, and report maintenance issues for any kitchen equipment.

Attention to detail is crucial as you will portion, arrange, and garnish dishes presented to guests, guaranteeing that each meal meets the company’s exacting standards. Collaboration with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and Kitchen Supervisor is part of the role to plan menus and anticipate food consumption volumes for events. Additionally, the cook role demands excellent attendance reliability and a proactive attitude toward teamwork, ensuring all duties are completed efficiently and effectively in an event-driven, fast-paced setting.

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Possess valid food handling certificate if required by regulations
  • ServSafe preferred

Job Duties
