Within this dynamic environment, the company is seeking a Part-Time Cook for its Canvas Stadium Performance Dining program located in Fort Collins, Colorado. The role is designed to be part of the culinary team responsible for delivering premium game-day catering experiences. As a Cook, you will work in a fast-paced kitchen setting where precision, quality, and speed are critical. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing a range of menu items using various cooking equipment while maintaining strict standards of taste, presentation, and food safety. Attention to detail such as portion control and minimizing food waste will be critical, as well as ensuring a clean and sanitary workspace throughout your shift.
This position offers an hourly wage between $20.00 and $24.00, reflecting OVG’s commitment to recognizing skilled culinary professionals. As a part-time employee, you will also benefit from a 401(k) Savings Plan with matching contributions, as well as accrue paid leave based on hours worked. - Previous cook or prep cook experience
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment operation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
- Strong communication skills
- Valid food handling certification if required
- Availability to work part-time hours
- Commitment to maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Previous cook or prep cook experience required
- Performance dining experience is a plus
- Able to operate standard kitchen equipment including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef knife
- Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests clearly and respectfully
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations
- ServSafe preferred
Job Duties
- Provide high-quality fresh food products in a timely manner for delivery to guests
- Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements
- Participate as a team player with specific responsibilities related to preparation, excellent service, and delivery of product
- Report any maintenance required for kitchen equipment
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
- Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking
- Portion, arrange, and garnish food plates for delivery to guests
- Consult with Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate expected food consumption
- Demonstrate the ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance
