This particular opportunity is for a part-time Cook position at Canvas Stadium Performance Dining, located in Fort Collins, Colorado. The role is integral to the culinary team, supporting both the Performance Dining Program and premium game-day catering experiences. The Cook will operate in a fast-paced kitchen environment and is responsible for preparing a variety of hot and cold food items, using different cooking methods and equipment while maintaining strict quality standards for taste, presentation, and food safety. The position demands attention to detail, such as portion control and minimizing food waste, alongside maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace. The hourly pay for this position ranges from $20.00 to $24.00.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the executive culinary team, including the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Supervisor, to ensure that menu items meet company recipes and portioning requirements. They will be an essential part of delivering an exceptional dining experience to guests, guaranteeing that all food items are prepared efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. The Cook will also be responsible for reporting any necessary maintenance of kitchen equipment and adhering to sanitation, health, and safety regulations.

Job Qualifications

  • Previous cook or prep cook experience required
  • performance dining experience is a plus
  • able to operate standard kitchen equipment, including the broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef knife
  • ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment
  • ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations
  • ServSafe preferred

Job Duties

  • Responsible for providing high-quality, fresh food products in a timely manner for delivery to guests
  • prepares hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements
