The company is currently seeking a Part-Time Cook for its Canvas Stadium Performance Dining program, located in Fort Collins, Colorado. This role is an integral part of the culinary team responsible for delivering premium game-day catering experiences and performance dining services. Working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, the Cook will prepare both hot and cold menu items adhering to strict company recipes, portion controls, and high standards of taste and presentation. The ideal candidate is skilled in utilizing a variety of kitchen equipment including broilers, steamers, convection ovens, mixers, meat slicers, and chef knives. Attention to food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in the workspace is paramount since the role involves maintaining health and safety standards in a dynamic setting.

In this position, the Cook will be engaged in multiple culinary activities such as food preparation, portioning, arranging, garnishing, and timely delivery to ensure guests enjoy a memorable dining experience. The Cook will also collaborate closely with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and Kitchen Supervisors to assist in menu planning and estimating food consumption needs based on event demands. This collaboration supports the broader aim of ensuring efficient kitchen operations and minimizing food waste.

The Part-Time Cook role offers a competitive hourly wage of $20.00-$24.00. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a cook or prep cook
  • Ability to work part-time hours including weekends and event days
  • Valid food handling certification if required by local regulations
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous cook or prep cook experience required
  • Performance dining experience is a plus
  • Able to operate standard kitchen equipment including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef knife
  • Ability to communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations
  • ServSafe preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide high-quality, fresh food products in a timely manner for delivery to guests
  • Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements
  • Participate as a team player with responsibilities related to preparation, excellent service, and delivery of product
  • Report any maintenance required for kitchen equipment
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking
  • Portion, arrange, and garnish food plates for delivery to guests
  • Consult with Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate expected food consumption
  • Demonstrate the ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance
