The Concierge role at the Naismith Club within the University of Kansas Social Club is an integral position within the Member Experience Team. This part-time employment opportunity offers an hourly wage ranging from $13.00 to $16.00, in addition to being tip-eligible, making it an appealing role for individuals who thrive in dynamic, customer-facing environments. The Concierge is responsible for creating an inviting and memorable atmosphere for club members before, during, and after their visits. The role emphasizes delivering a warm welcome, generating magical moments, and fostering fond memories for each guest.
Key responsibilities include managing reservations, addressing inquiries, and understanding the preferences of members to ensure a personalized service experience. The Concierge effectively communicates ClubLife messages through various channels, providing information about club services, upcoming events, and amenities both in person and remotely. This position involves proactive engagement, managing the lobby and front entrance appearance, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring necessary supplies are stocked to support smooth operations. Additionally, the Concierge provides essential business services such as faxing, copying, and mailing, demonstrating ownership of requests from start to finish.
Team collaboration is also a vital component, with the Concierge assisting in initiatives like the Club Newsletter, maintaining members’ services, managing event announcements, and supporting marketing efforts to promote club activities. The position requires strong communication skills across verbal, written, phone, text, and social media platforms, as well as an ability to multitask and perform under pressure. Organizational skills, attention to detail, a positive attitude, and adaptability to new technology are essential for success in this role.
