The University of Kansas Social Club, located at 1651 Naismith Drive in Lawrence, KS, is an exclusive venue operated by Oak View Group that caters to club members seeking a premium and memorable social environment. Currently, Oak View Group is hiring a Concierge for the Naismith Club within the University of Kansas Social Club on a regular part-time basis. This role is a pivotal part of the Member Experience Team, focused on creating exceptional experiences for club members by embodying the values of warm welcome, magic moments, and fond memories.
This Concierge position is integral to maintaining a seamless, friendly, and highly responsive service environment. The role involves acting as a key point of contact for club members, assisting them with reservations, handling inquiries, and managing their specific preferences before, during, and after every visit. The Concierge will also be responsible for communicating important club information across multiple channels, ensuring members are kept well-informed about club activities, services, and amenities.
The hourly compensation for this position ranges from $13.00 to $16.00, with additional tip eligibility, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and member engagement. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience in hospitality or a similar role
- Excellent communication skills including verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong customer service orientation
- Positive attitude and team player mindset
- Willingness to work part-time hours
- Ability to handle sensitive member information confidentially

Job Duties
- Direct members and guests to their destinations within the club
- Provide business and concierge services to members
- Inform members and guests of club services, features, upcoming events, room locations, and amenities
- Assist members in scheduling appointments and reservations for club programs and services
- Maintain the lobby, front entrance, workstation, and surrounding areas clean and organized
- Ensure supplies needed by members or guests are stocked
- Accommodate member and guest requests for business services including faxing, copying, mailing, and other concierge services
- Assist member experience initiatives including club newsletter and communication channels
- Manage message on hold duties, website calendar, event announcements, outbound calls to members, and marketing collateral
- Keep member services materials current at the club
