Job Description
Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, established in 2015. The company specializes in venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. OVG manages a collection of seven world-class owned venues and serves a distinguished client roster that includes iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. The company is renowned for its innovative approach and commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for both guests and members across all its venues.
The Baylor Club, located in Waco, Texas, is part of Oak View Group’s portfolio and offers a premium environment dedicated to enhancing member experiences through personalized service and exclusive amenities. The ClubLife Concierge position is a regular part-time role that plays a vital role in supporting the Member Experience Team at The Baylor Club. This role is focused on creating remarkable and memorable experiences for Club Members before, during, and after each visit by emphasizing warm welcomes, magical moments, and fond farewells. The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 to $14.00, with added benefits including a 401(k) savings plan and company matching for part-time employees.
As a ClubLife Concierge, the individual will be responsible for representing the ClubLife brand across all communication channels and will act as the primary point of contact for members’ needs, including managing reservations, inquiries, and member preferences. The role involves robust interaction by speaking with members about various club-related topics, promoting exclusive member events, gatherings, and services while building strong relationships and reports with members and guests. Key project duties involve executing personalized campaigns such as birthday celebrations and follow-ups on reservations and invitations to signature club events.
The position requires the concierge to know members by name, ensuring each interaction begins with a warm welcome and ends with a fond farewell, thus fostering a sense of community and belonging. Duties also include guiding members and guests to their destinations within the club, providing essential business and concierge services, and proactively creating unique and magical moments to enhance their visit.
Additionally, the ClubLife Concierge informs members about club services, upcoming events, facilities, locations, and amenities in person or via phone. The role requires assisting members with scheduling appointments and reservations, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the lobby and front entrance, and ensuring that necessary supplies such as pens and notepads are well-stocked.
Further responsibilities include managing concierge requests like faxing, copying, mailing, and supporting Member Experience initiatives such as newsletters, message-on-hold announcements, website calendar updates, and promotional collateral, always ensuring materials remain current. Members’ seating and adherence to company, club, and departmental policies and procedures are important aspects of the role.
Professionalism, safety, neat appearance, grooming standards, flexibility, and adaptability are emphasized as vital traits, with the expectation of representing the company positively at all times. The ClubLife Concierge must be ready to assume various responsibilities as needed, understand service recovery procedures to promptly address complaints, and work collaboratively as part of a team focused on exceptional member service. This position requires physical stamina to stand or walk for extended periods and to lift heavy objects when necessary. Weekend and holiday availability may also be required to meet operational deadlines.
Oak View Group is committed to diversity, inclusivity, and equal employment opportunity, fostering a workplace that respects and celebrates different backgrounds, ensuring that all employees and applicants are treated fairly without discrimination. The group values the unique contributions of its team members and strives to create an environment that promotes innovation, service excellence, and community engagement.
