Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, known for its dynamic platform that spans venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Established in 2015, OVG manages a vast portfolio that includes seven world-class owned venues and partners with some of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. This extensive reach allows OVG to offer unique opportunities for professionals seeking to thrive in the live entertainment and hospitality sectors.

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, at the Vanderbilt University Performance Dining location, Oak View Group is currently seeking part-time Bussers to join their performance dining team. This role is essential to the efficient functioning of the restaurant's service staff, providing critical support that ensures guests enjoy a positive and seamless dining experience. Working alongside servers and kitchen personnel, the Busser helps facilitate timely delivery of food and beverages, maintains cleanliness, and supports overall customer satisfaction.

The Busser position is part-time and offers competitive pay, with hourly wages ranging from $18.00 to $20.00. Employees in this role benefit from a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, even in part-time status, highlighting OVG's dedication to employee welfare. The role is evergreen, meaning applications are accepted continuously, providing ongoing opportunities for qualified individuals.

The responsibilities of the Busser include transporting prepared food from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately, verifying order details while accommodating special requests or dietary restrictions. In addition to assisting servers by delivering drinks and safely bussing tables, the Busser is responsible for preparing and resetting tables with clean utensils and condiments before and after guest visits. Maintaining cleanliness isn't limited to the dining area alone, as Bussers also help ensure outdoor dining spaces are orderly and waste-free.

Maintaining a neat and welcoming dining environment involves continually checking and wiping down tables, chairs, and surrounding areas. Bussers take charge of emptying and cleaning garbage cans throughout their shifts and restocking essential supplies such as disposable plates and utensils. Their collaborative work with kitchen staff, servers, and bartenders promotes smooth operation and excellent service standards.

Ideal candidates for the Busser role should have prior restaurant or food service experience, particularly in customer-facing capacities. Physical stamina is important as the job requires standing, walking for extended periods, and carrying trays or plates. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are necessary to interact respectfully with guests and ensure orders are fulfilled correctly. The ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment and a friendly, approachable nature will help Bussers successfully support the dining team.

Oak View Group values diversity and inclusivity, recognizing that different backgrounds fuel innovation and enhance service quality. They are committed to creating a workplace that reflects the diverse communities they serve and ensure equal employment opportunities without discrimination on any legally protected basis. This commitment to equity and employee development establishes OVG as an employer of choice in the hospitality and live entertainment industry.

If you are seeking a rewarding part-time position within a leading global entertainment organization and have the dedication to support exceptional guest experiences, Oak View Group's Busser position at Vanderbilt University offers a fulfilling opportunity to grow and succeed.
